Planner/organiser’s comments
It was nice to see 40 or so take part on a very cold February morning. There
were some regular faces & some new ones trying orienteering for the first time,
bravely taking on the hardest course, which they completed successfully &
commented on how much they enjoyed the experience. We also had a family
from LOC, on holiday from the Lake District. Having to climb up to the downs
from the farm made all the courses physically challenging but at least you all
warmed up quickly! The comments I received at the finish were all positive.
The next event will be at Knowles Farm & St Catherines Lighthouse on the 13th
April. This is another new area that Chris has been surveying over the last
couple of years & looks to be a great area for orienteering, so don’t miss it.
