About Wight Orienteers

Wight Orienteers (WIGHTO) has been active as an orienteering club since 1976. We have members of all ages and abilities and organise orienteering events on the Isle of Wight, that’s the diamond shaped island off the south coast of England.

We may be one of the smallest clubs in the UK. But we put on events for 10 months of the year, plus other events such as Relays, Quiz Walks and NightOs.

WIGHTO events are held on Sunday mornings, once every 4-8 weeks. Events are often in one of the Island’s woodlands. Expect to see a mixture of oak, beech and conifer trees, plus gorse bracken and brambles!

Events are also held on the Island’s spectacular National Trust downland. You may experience some stiff climbs, but be rewarded by magnificent views over the Solent and the English Channel.
