Wight Orienteers will be entering its 50th year in the Spring of 2026! And the club’s secretary, Carol, will be preparing a report of the club’s history to be published in local Isle of Wight newspapers.
She will be compiling memorabilia from the clubs distant past to the present &
would be grateful for our members input.
Any old photographs or memorable stories you have of your experience at Wighto events [I’m sure you must have some] will be appreciated.
Carol is present at all our events so if you have anything to offer, she’d be very happy to hear from you.
The club has prepared clothing to mark the clubs 50th Anniversary & these will be on show over the next few events for you to look at & hopefully purchase over the coming months.
Many sports clubs don’t last as long as Wight Orienteers have, so let’s all celebrate this momentous milestone together. We will be planning a social evening in the spring & details of this will be posted in the New Year.
