• Wight Orienteers Membership

Membership for Wight Orienteers became due on 1st January 2016 and if you regularly attend orienteering events you should become a member.

The insurers of British Orienteering state that once you have attended 3 events as a non-member you will not be afforded public liability insurance at further events unless you are a member.

All members, event officials and the club will be insured but non-members will not be. Wight Orienteers won’t be turning anyone away but non-members are reminded they have no public liability insurance and do pay a higher event entry fee.

Benefits of joining include cheaper entry at WIGHTO and most British Clubs’ events, inclusion in the British Orienteering Rankings (subject to competing in ranking events) and discounts at selected sports and outdoors retailers.

You can join or renew your membership directly to British Orienteering securely online at www.britishorienteering.org.uk.
