Hi everyone. I am pleased to confirm the following events to put in your diaries!
Saturday 2nd July, Evening Quiz Walk, from The Sun Inn, Calbourne. The annual quiz walk will be in the village of Calbourne & surrounding countryside. The route is approximately 1½ – 2 miles & should take 75-90 minutes to complete. The usual array of straight, observational, cryptic & abstract clues with the aid of a specially drawn map to get you around the course. This is to be treated as a fun social event, but you are advised to wear appropriate footwear & leg cover as some of the footpaths may be overgrown. Other than that, all your need is a PEN! Prizes will be awarded to the winners & losers!!!! Starts & Registration from the Sun Inn 6.00pm – 6.30pm. Finish & Prize giving from the Sun Inn approx 8.30pm – 9.00pm Fees: Adults £ 2.00. AGM, Friday 8th July, CANCELLED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
Calbourne Community Centre, School Lane, Calbourne at 7.30pm. The club has managed to survive the pandemic but I can’t emphasise enough how important it is that as many club members as possible should attend this meeting. If you any ideas or proposal to help with the clubs future then we’d like to hear them. A club is only as good as the people that run it! Thankfully the dedicated committee have been able to keep the club going, but we need the next generation to keep it ‘running’. If you cannot make the meeting for whatever reason, but would like to offer your support then please contact me on 531282, otherwise, I’ll look forward to seeing you at the AGM.
