Wight Orienteers invite you to their January orienteering event at Knowles Farm & St Catherine’s Point. The date is Sunday 25th January 2026.
Please park considerately along St Catherines Rd, Niton and please do NOT park
in the Buddle Inn car park. The proprietors at the Buddle Inn have given us
permission to have the registration in their car park only, but welcome all to
visit after your run for a drink or Sunday roast which I’d recommend. If you do
decide to have a meal there, you’re advised to book in advance as they do
get busy on Sundays.
This will be the second time WIGHTO have used this area and if you didn’t make
the inaugural event last spring, you’re in for a treat.
The area is quite spectacular and is challenging for the most experienced orienteer, with its intricate contour detail and rock formations. It also has a good network of paths for the easier courses. There is something for all abilities at this dramatic setting.
Chris has made a brilliant job of mapping this area and Christine and myself have enjoyed planning the courses, albeit on New Years day! We look forward to seeing everyone there on the 25th.

Cost: British Orienteering adult members £5.00, adult non-members £8.00, family group £8 (£10 non-members), Juniors £1.00.
