St. Catherine’s Down – 26th September 2021

Wight Orienteers invite you to their Level D orienteering event at St. Catherine’s Down on 26th September 2021.

Score courses are on offer – find as many controls as you can in the allotted time.

Welcome back to the first orienteering event on the island since March 2020. Brian & myself have planned a score event using the entire area. Parking will be at the view point car park Blackgang & starts will be between 10.30/12.00. As previously stated, the event will be free of charge so no payments at registration! You will, however need to fill out an insurance form which Eileen will give you on arrival. Bring your own pen to fill out the form!!!!
Fill in all the names of participants of your group. Do not try to give completed forms back to Eileen. When you’re ready to go, take your completed form to the start. The starter will check your form for details then give you your pre- bagged map & control card. Course description will be printed on the map. Your then ready to go!!
Needle punches will be use at this event. The risks of contamination are minuscule but if you want to be extra safe then you should take your own sanitizer with you out on the course.
Looking forward to seeing you all again & have fun. Peter
