We are pleased to announce that at long last Wighto is going ELECTRONIC!

North Wiltshire Orienteering [ NWO] have kindly donated their EMIT system to Wighto, having upgraded themselves to the SI system. Hopefully in the not too distant future, we will be able to progress to SI as well. When you register at this and future events you will be given a small plastic card which you attach to your index finger. At the control sites on the courses, you place the card onto the pad at each control proving you’ve visited that control, [Easy Peasy]. So no more needle punches and no more control cards! When you finish your course you will have to make your way to the ‘Download station’. When you have ‘downloaded’ you’ll be given a strip of paper listing the times taken to each control and a total running time for the course you entered.
